The first of 2011's IGT slots was an update to the 50,000 Pyramid slot game. The 100,000 Pyramid slot is a higher variance version of it's older cousin with the same look and feel and the chance to win up to 36 free spins with a 9x multiplier in the free spins feature. It needs a little more caution being higher variance and although the video above shows a very nice 150x return from the free spins I went through 2 totally rubbish bonus rounds before capturing this one! the main difference between this and the 50,000 version is that 4 or 5 scatters give you more picks in the free spins bonus feature.

There are a lot of online video slots from IGT now available here at Slotjunkies but the 100,000 Pyramid is one of the more dated-feeling games. It's not without it's charm - and the free spins bonus can certainly be lucrative - but many of their games are starting to feel a little bit outmoded compared to offerings from WMS and the dedicated online providers. Games like Playtech's Gladiator slot for example have really stretched the boundaries of video integration and soundbites.

IGT are obviously best known for their incredibly popular land-based video slot games, notably the slot players favorite Cleopatra slot and one of my regulars, the Pharaohs Fortune slot. the 100,000 Pyramid slot is a good addition to their catalogue but is unlikely to ever take the mantle from those games to be honest. Good fun, but not terribly sticky.
