The Pixies Of The Forest slot is a Tumbling Reels slot from IGT much like the popular land-based Davinci Diamonds slot but with a couple of twists. This game is actually an online version of the land-based "Secrets Of The Forest" slot machine, also by IGT.

The first twist is that instead of the 6 free spins you get with Davinci, in Pixies Of The Forest you choose a random number - I've seen this up to 11 so far but it might be more (the video shows it in action). The second twist is that you get extra wild symbols added to the first 4 reels during the free spins! In normal mode you only get wilds on reels 2+3+4. Also worth noting that the feature can't retrigger though.

Like Davinci, you trigger the bonus by getting the Bonus symbols on an active payline on the first 3 reels but in Pixies Of The Forest you have 99 paylines so pretty much any 3 in view start the bonus off. IGT advertise this as a 3-in-1 slot meaning you get 3 paylines for each one you pay for. Seems a bit of a crap marketing ploy to me LOL.

Pixies Of The Forest is a very nice looking slot but I've never been a fan of the "tumbling reels" concept which is now employed by quite a few slot game manufacturers and in a number of video slots here at Slotjunkies but only because it slows down gameplay and generally makes the game lower variance. I can see their appeal and I think Pixies Of The Forest will actually prove to be quite a popular game over time myself but more with those who like entertainment over big wins.
