The Beetle Mania Deluxe slot is a popular Novomatic slot game from the same stable as the very popular Book Of Ra Deluxe and Lord Of The Ocean slot. Beetle Mania is slightly lower variance (lower risk) than other Novomatic slot games but still has a free spins bonus round. Unusually for Novo, this time it is triggered by getting the (Music Note) bonus symbol on reels 1-3.

The bonus has an unusual twist in that there is a Beetle symbol on reel 3 and whenever that lands, your current bonus win total is doubled. Quite honestly, that is about the only chance you have of making a big win from Beetle Mania - the rest of the time it's smaller wins mostly and you really need to trigger the bonus with 4 or 5 scatter symbols to walk away with a big amount.

But that said, Beetle Mania is still quite a fun slot and compared to the other free spins slots from Novomatic like the Columbus slot for example, you get more wins in normal play on Beetle Mania. It's not as good as the Dolphins Pearl slot slot though IMO.

Like other Novomatic slots, it's still pretty old skool, especially when you compare it to some of the new video slots here at Slotjunkies but that is part of it's charm IMO. I think the cartoony feel, similar to Fairy Queen in that respect, probably appeals more to a niche audience than games like the Katana slot (my favourite) or Book Of Ra - not really my scene to be fair.
