The Gladiator slot from Playtech is, in my opinion, the best online slot game to have ever come out. I thought nothing would rival the excellent Thunderstruck or Cleopatra, but this one totally blew me away. The graphics, containing interspersed sequences from the film Gladiator, and the sounds which again include soundbites from the film are superb, but ultimately it's the gameplay that makes or breaks a slot. The key to Gladiator is the "Colosseum" bonus round, a traditional free spins bonus but with a twist. That twist is randomly awarded and can give you an extra scatter symbol and and extra wild symbol. When you get the extra scatter, you can hit some really big wins.
