Along with the excellent Gladiator and the newer Playtech Marvel slots, the Great Blue slot is among my favourite games on their casino platform (see the casinos listed to the right). On the surface, it looks like a fairly standard "free spins" bonus slot but ithas a stacked wild (similar to IGT's Wolf Run) that, when lined up, can pay very big alongside some very decent free spin awards.

When you trigger the bonus with 3 or more scatter clam symbols, you pick two clams from five that awards you extra free spins and multipliers. By default, you get 8 free spins at 2x to start you off, but you can add up to an extra 25 spins and/or 15x in multipliers. If the stacked wild symbols appear in the free spins you can get pretty happy ;) I normally find I get 15-18 free spins at 7x or 10x. The worst you can get is either 33 spins at 2x or 15 spins at 7x so either way it is still pretty decent. I generally find the bonus ends up paying in excess of 40x your total bet if you get an extra multiplier which is better than most as averages go. It's unusual for it to pay less than 40x unless you don't get the multiplier in which case 20x is about the norm.

The Great Blue slot is a high variance slot (check out 300 Shields too). It is also worth noting that Great Blue is very similar in gameplay to Playtech's 20-line Penguin Vacation slot and the lower variance 30-payline Irish Luck slot so if you like Great Blue then you'll probably like those too.
