I'm a huge fan of high variance slots but the 300 Shields game by Next Gen Gaming is a ground-breaker. This is seriously high variance so play it very carefully. In fact it's probably the highest of any of the slots at Slotjunkies! Without the free spins feature occuring it will eat and eat. However, if you get the free spins feature (trigerred by 3 or more scatter Shields anywhere in view) you can get multipliers of 2x, 5x, 25x (as in the video above) and... wait for it... 300x! That is serious!

It's probably best explained by watching the video but essentially, you get 5 free spins at 2x to start. Every sheild that appears raises the sidebar which counts your "kills" in battle. get to 2 and you get 5 more spins with a 5x multiplier on all wins that have a wild symbol in them. Get to 6 shields and you get 5 more at 25x and get to the maximum 12 shields and you get 5 spins with a massive 300x multiplier!! It's incredibly hard to get to 300x but when you do, needless to say the potential for a big hit is massive. And that is why the 300 Shields slot is so high variance. If you thought Playtech's Great Blue or Microgaming's Isis slot was high variance, you ain't seen nothing yet!
